Default Stock exhaust?

I have a 99 Z28 with duals coming out the back. It looks to be 2.5 or 3 inch pipes. The chrome tips are square but are wide all the way back to the pipe. It is not like the ones I have seen on this site. Both are rusted out with holes and need to be replaced but I don't know where to get some that look like it. Also one of the pipes are rusting out where the tip is connected on. I don't know what kind of system I have but it is loud. How can I figure out if it is aftermarket or not? Should the name be on it somewhere. Can an exhaust shop replace a pipe or do I have to figure out what kind of system it is and buy it from them? Any advice. I like the way it sounds but I have to replace the parts that are rusted out.

check on the muffler for a logo...or take a picture of it if you can.
im sure a muffler shop could repair what you have now by cutting the rusted pieces and welding fresh exhaust tubing in there, but if its really rusted out, and its gunna cost you quite a bit to repair, your probably better of picking up a used or new cat-back system from something in the used parts section on ls1tech.

Doesn't sound too stock to me.

I agree with just getting a new catback.

You can do something as easy as a muffler/tips swap. My buddy got a new muffler with new chrome tips welded in for 150. It was at a local muffler shop. Not too bad in a pinch..

The muffler I like. It looks fine. I would like to keep the sound I have now. The pipes look to be 3 inch at least. I am going to take it to a good exhaust shop and let them tell me what I can do about the one rusted out pipe and I will have to search to find out what brand it is on the muffler. Then maybe I can figure out the tips. The car only has 48,000 miles on it.
