Default what bullet muffler to get to replace my LM resonator?

Right now I have the Loudmouth I catback and SLP y-pipe, and I love how it sounds now. But soon I will be getting Lt's and doing a H/C swap so I want to replace the resonator with bullet muffler. I want a mean aggressive sound like I have now(and I don't mind if it is as loud or a bit louder than now). But I don't want it to be much quieter especially now before the long tubes go in. So here are my choices Dynomax bullet or Magnaflow bullet. Please give input with the vote. Like I said I want a deep fairly loud tone but little to no rasp.

Thanks

Dynomax makes a nice 2 1/2, 3, 3 1/2, and 4" bullet. I have sold/installed many. They sound great, but will be pretty loud and in comparison to the LM it will be around the same sound/noise level just a different note.

That's what I want a deep aggressive tone with little to no rasp. Will it still be about as loud with the stock manifolds and cats?

I am sorry to tell you that w/ LT's ,Bullet, and ORY you are gonna run into some rasp.

Well I know its inevitable but I want to minimize it as much as possible. I think I am going to go with a high flow catted Y-pipe to help reduce the rasp.
I just want it to sound good now before the LT's and not be too quiet.

I had the loudmouth. When I put longtubes and ORY on, I didn't like the rasp. I switched to a dynomax bullet. It helped a lot with the rasp and was still just as loud. I had the 'dynomouth' for about 6 months and liked it the whole time.

(I got rid of the whole set-up altogether right before I put a cam in it. In anticipation of it being too loud afterward.)

I just replaced my LM resonator with a 16" Powerstick and it sounds great. You're gonna get some rasp no matter what. Mine is a bit deeper now and has regained some backpressure and I'm really happy with it.

What about the Borla XR1s? I heard they are the quieter ones out there.

I don't really want it to be quiet I just want it to have a nice deep agressive tone will less rasp. The Borla I think will have fitment issues its case is 5" and the Magnaflow and Dynomax are 4" cases. I don't have a whole lot of room between my resonator and the drive shaft now and the resonator is 4" wide. Plus the Borla is a lot more expensive.

I don't want to spend that much money right now I might concider them after the LT's but right now I just want to replace the resonator with a bullet muffler.

Magnaflow takes my vote.

Great tone, never mild but tame sounding low throttle and idle. Wild when your on it.

I think it is a great setup, to the point I waited 2 weeks till my bullet got shipped before installing the LM system.

LM alone either 1 or 2 I find unrefined sounding just loud.

You do NOT want backpressure!!!!!!!!

However, if you have used the correct diameter Powersitck it will actually be flowing better than the 3" tubing of the rest of the catback, so you will have actually gained any backpressure.

Just run a catted Y and you'll likely have no issues at all.

RASP is IMO largley a myth. Heads and cam will alter sound anyhow.

Pacesetter Lt's and Catted Y = $700 from TSP.

If after the LTs, catted Y and h/c it is still a little too raspy try pretty much any bullet muffler (they are all pretty similar in basic design and sound).

Magnalfow bullets are dirt cheap off of Ebay.

the XR1 is the best stright through type muffler for cutting down noise and rasp. nice smooth deep tone. Im considering running the XR1 dumped over the axle.

I say go with the Dynomax bullet, you probably will want to go with a 16'' or 18'' in length. A 12'' will probably sound very close to your LM.

Great deep tone
Cheap
Flows great, cant beat it!!

so are you guys saying that the dynomax basically sounds just like the loudmouth in volume of sound but with different tone?
