Default PCV oil consumtion...best way to address it?

Basically I'm trying to cut down on the oil being spit back into my intake through the PCV. I've been looking at catch cans, but then came across this article:

Is this something I should do instead of the catch can or breathers?

Catch can will stop oil from entering your intake manifold and sometimes a thicker oil will stop oil consumption. I have heard of folks doing the pcv swap and it not helping at all. If you really want to eliminate oil getting into your intake a catch can is the only way to go IMO.
