For that price they would not be OBDII Compliant I doubt.

I'm using the Magnaflow's, I think they were a little over $50 a pop. The link in my sig shows them installed and the 3rd page shows them in the box for comparison.

Any time you move the cats location (aka after longtubes) makes them illegal in CA. It doesn't matter what's in front of them or behind them as long as they are in the stock location and are OBDII compliant from what I understand.

LT's are only really illegal because they move the location of the cats.

Mine work great, I noticed no power loss after putting the cats into my TD system even with a huge cam spinning it to 6700 on the regular.

If I lived in CA, I'd do whatever the hell I wanted with the exhaust, then swap it out for inspection. It may take 4-5 hours the first time, but only about 3 or less then next time. I know I can pull my valve covers/rockers/pushrods in about 10 minutes flat these days.

That's the only true way around the system and just prey that a roadside engine check from the friendly 5-0 never happens.

You'd be suprised at the magical powers held by a 1/4" drive air ratchet and a swivel adapter. Zip the valve cover bolts out w/out removing the coils (well only have to remove the rear coil on the passneger side and let it dangle). Yank the valve covers out after disconnecting the plug wires/coil harnesses. Loosen all the rocker bolts 1-by-1 with 3/8" ratchet, 8m socket, and 3" extension. Put socket and extension onto 1/4" air ratchet with adapter. Zip bolts rest of way out, then yank the rockers off. NEXT!!

I call it "the dirt track special".

Search "Magnaflow" "cat*" "carsound". You'll find them.

Exclamation

On the website of Magnaflow you see there is some that are OBDII compliant ones and some are not....MINI [small compact] converters will not last and are NOT Compliant USUALLY. These ones do not last long. The larger ones are similiar to the factory ones in the sense that the comb is denser.

Hmm.. I was just about to buy some Random Technology high flow cats at $260 for a pair. Would these be just as good to buy?

I really do not know other than these are the full-size ones I spoke of..sometimes u see the very small ones, and I know someone who blew those ones out in 2-3 months. Mario Andretti knows what he is talking about. [ Those say OBDII Approved also]

The magnaflow cats are great, I can easily say there dam popular among the V6 crowd. For that price its an awsome deal buy it anywhere else and you will pay over 100 for it. But there worth it way better then stock and good if u have to have a cat.
