what is this part on my intake???!!!!!!!!! 
what is the part behind the stock lid? where the stock lid connects, its oval, but aftermarket ones are round...
i'm a noob at this so im sorry if i made no sense at all. what i am really wondering is if i need to buy anything else when buying a new intake lid. thanks

That whole piece comes off, the lid along with the two box looking things behind it all come off and your new lid will connect to the MAF sensor no problem.
