Default loudmouth is AMAZING!!!

Today i installed my slp loudmouth exhaust on my 01 camaro. WOW! what a difference it makes its so much freaking louder then the flowmaster i had on my car before hand. I just have one question how good are the clamps that came with the kit? Do you think it would be better if I got the system welded together?

If they are good band clamps they should be fine..just check them occasionally. [welding is always best though in the long run]

I've had mine since November of 05 and haven't had an issue yet except for one. Just make sure that when your muffler guy instals them you mention that he needs to turn the clamps side-ways when he puts them on. I have an 00 WS6 with a stock ride hight and the band clamp's threading used to scrap on everything after they where installed Just as an FYI.

my loudmouth was perfect fitting and lasted for over a year no issues, then the headers/cam came and the neighbors/Johnny Law came down on me. I cheaped out and got a flowmaster setup. Wish I never got the headers or cam after remembering the first night with the LM.

my loudmouth had to be welded. every time i would go wot the joint over the axle would blow apart. has been great since it was welded though. almost forget it used to blow off. just leave it alone unless it comes apart.. although when mine came apart they did drag so if you dont want yours scratched it would be good insurance to tac it a few times.
