See if it changes when you turn the a/c on and off. Compressor sounds smoked too me though. You can remove the belt from it if you feel like sweating nuts. Wait, what temperature is it up there right now?

Kinda looks like Spuds in your sig, who is that?

Right now? it sucks *** and raining about 70F going to be 90F over the next few days though. My A/C is assraped anyways the Clutch is gone on the compressor I think that's probaly part of the noise I just wanted to make sure that it's only the compressor and not my water pump or something

BTW Chad, I'll get right on that Airbag and Seatbelt Delete

I was going to ask if that was a male or female in your sig, but figured you might get pissed if it was YOU!

If only you had a 'vette.... I've got a delco 'vette compressor in my shop right now.

You cannot buy a replacement clutch BTW, you have to buy the whole sha-bang. Does it stop/change with the a/c on/off? That will tell you quick if it's the compressor or not. Taking the a/c belt off will confirm it.

No change with it on.. just does it more quickly because of the higher idle. So there is a seperate belt for the A/C? Whats involved with taking it off? I have no problem since it doesn't work anyways

You need a 15mm wrench on the main tensioner, remove the main belt. Then crawl under and stick the wrench on teh a/c tensioner, remove it, then stick the main back on. It takes about 5 minutes.

Hardest part is getting under the car. With some ramps or something, it's a snap.
