Anybody want to help or pitch in some advice for my Water pump/ BBK TB install?
Would anybody like to help me out with my new water pump and BBK throttle body install? I'm looking at next sunday (7/23/06) to do so.
Any help or advice with the water pump install? I'm getting a 160 degree thermostat to go along with everything. I'm also going to do the throttle bypass mod and possibly some MAF modding. Any advice so far?
I dont know where i'm going to do this exactly but If you have ANY ADVICE before i do so, please let me know so i wont dick anything up....

My best advice is to not alter the MAF in any way.
The waterpump/tb is going to be a snap.
Make sure you have some new waterpump gaskets handy and some coolant. The water pump is simple, but filling it back up with coolant could take some time. The best thing to do is put as much in as you can, then let the car idle with the cap off and keep on going. You may have to put the cap on and run it for a while, then kill it and remove the cap. You can squeeze the driver side radiator hose and get water flowing into the block, you'll see the level in the radiator going down.
For the TB bypass, I'd just run a 5/16th hose from the motor to the radiator.
Make SURE you put the IAC o-ring in the new throttle body or you idle will hunt. IAC is the top driver side plug.

These are two really easy things to do. I'd be hard for anything to go wrong.
Take the throttle body off first and don't put the new one on until after the water pump is changed. It gives a lot more room to get the water pump out.
Put a big drain pan under the water pump. Lots of coolant is going to come out. Make sure the same amount of new coolant goes back in after everything is done.
Use one long hose for the tb bypass mod. I've had bad luck with connecting the two existing hoses.
Leave the stock MAF alone.

from the sounds of it, i will leave the MAF alone. And yes it was my intension to just use one long hose to connect or bypass the TB.
