Default The pacesetters are in and they are...

Freaking AMAZING!!!! Finally after 250 cusswords, 1000 dropped tools, nuts and bolts, 60 scrapes and cuts the pace setter headers and y pipe are in. They sound sexy as hell and the SES light did not come on the first time I started the car but the second time I started the car the SES light came on. What can I do about this... being that I don't have cats anymore. Is the fact that I don't have two of the O2 sensors in anymore. Will this affect anything or am I good. How can i get that light to turn off if it keeps coming on. Anyways if anyone is waundering if pacesetters are good buy... they freaking rock. Buy them.

I spent near 15 hours installing these headers... good lord. Hey what about the SES light... does it cost much to go down to a shop and have em turn it off?

You're going to have to buy some o2 sims to clear the SES light. It's just saying that your non-existent cats aren't working.

I wouldnt buy the o2 sims. I would take it to somebody that does tuning and let them delete the code for the rear 02's.

It cost me like 75 bucks but it was well worth it. Or if you have the money, you could get a full tune.

Getting the codes deleted should be less than the price of O2 sims.

I also paid $75 to have mine yanked at MTI in Houston.

You should get them to turn off AIR, EGR, Rear O2, EVAP and CAGS. Everything will still work right, but the SES light will not be set should you choose to remove them in the future.

I would get a tune just cause. Then you can remove the AIR system and the EGR system with some simple block off plates, worth a little power too.

I miss the first day my pacesetters were on, oh and also at the same time my loudmouth too....

The light wont hurt anything. BUT, I would recommend what everyone said. As an added bonus, I picked up around 22 RWHP with a dyno tune. Rolled in there and laid down 318 RWHP, after tune 340RWHP. Got them to delete all the un-neccessary stuff, AIR, CAGS, Rear O2's all that good stuff. Actually I got the O2 sims and still got a light. Prob cause I had the Race style headers and the AIR system tripped it. Becuase of the ORY, if you dont get it tunned, you are guarenteed to lose your O2 sensors within 300-1000 miles cause you are going to be running really rich and they will foul out. Just what Ive seen on some peoples car. Congrats on the install, they are great.

Yup, get those codes deleted and you'll be good to go. If you have the money, might as well just get a tune while you have them deleted. That way you can make sure that you're not running pig rich (like I have been since my Pacesetters went in) or running lean.

And as Orangeapeel said, you won't find many people complaining about the Pacesetters!

Well it may be a little while before I can get a tune. Am I going to be suffering a severe gasmilage loss cause right now that would really hurt me. Don't have much money to be swinging around towords gas. Freaking a it's costing me almost 50 dollars a tank now days. I remember when it barely used to cost me 20. And I was complaining about that lol.
