Default Knock Snesor Install?

How hard is it to install the knock sensors front and back? Local dealer wants just of $600 for the repair. They said water go in and rusted the thing out. They are going to replace the 2 sensors and the wiring? Is there any details on this repair that I may do it myself since I found the sensors for $50 each????

Thanks

Its not hard to replace them. Pull the intake off and they are right there.

Check LS1howto.com's writeup on the LS6 intake install. All you need to do is pull the manifold/tb and the knock sensors are right below it inside the valley cover (which you don't even have to remove).

its easy. take the injectors and manifold off and you got em. just be sure to get a good seal when you put the manifold back on cuz they have a tendency to leak. definately a do-it-yourself job. good luck man

Don't need to remove the injectors, they can remain on the intake. This is an LS1, no need to worry about the intake sealing. They do not have a tendency to leak. Intake bolt torque is only 89 in lbs

Simple job, gmpartsdirect.com has good prices. Should be around $30-50 total.
