Default P&p Tb Pics

Here are some pics of my recently ported stock TB. I got bored so i decided to go gain a few hp. Its not too bad for a 17 yr old who only had the use of a drill and a little sand paper...

Before the porting

After the porting

The finished product

What do yall think?

Thanks guys, i just used porgressively smoother sandpaper, 100-150-220-600(wet)-1000(wet). Then i used Mothers mag and aluminum polish. Worked like a charm, and it really only took about an hour to ploish it, porting on the other hand took a full day.

i'm 23 and still won't try that.

Mostly because I am lazy, and I would rather just buy the finished product.

Nice job.

Kick *** job. Give yourself a pat on the back, you just save yourself some money... by... doing P&P your TB.

As for the guys that are tempted but skurred doing the P&P, just look at all the P&P TB pictures and follow the directions on P&P. I use combination of dremel sandpaper drums/ sandpapers from 200 grit all the way to 2000 grit. Then polished it w/ dremel cloth end bit and mothers metal polish.

They were on the car when i bought it. But i happen to like the stripes, i guess its just me. It definitely gets me more looks though, i bet if you saw it in person you wouldnt think they were so bad.

Yeah im 16 and am trying to decide to do it myself or weight until I have money to pay someone. Have you test drove it yet and did you feel better throttle response or anything?

On the test drive I was actually surprised to feel better throttle response, nothing big but it was there, and no idle problems which is always good. If you are confident, i say go for it, just follow a step by step and take your time. If you screw up you can always buy a port/polished one so its kinda a win win situation, except for the paying for one part. So might as well give it a shot.
