Default Got some bolt-on dyno figures...

Got it tuned/dynoed today.

01 SS M6

Mods: FIPK, pulley, ported TB, pacesetters/ypipe, dual-dual, tune.

344rwhp, 352rwtq.

Tuner said it was average, nothing spectacular, but nothing too low.

I was hoping for closer to 350rwhp, but it's not too bad I think.

Thoughts?

seems like your tuner was right......pretty average. But that doesnt mean it isnt a ton of fun!! How does your exhaust set-up sound? I have the dual/dual and was thinking about getting QTP longtubes. How loud is it with long tubes compared to stock manifolds and dual/dual?

It's still pretty quiet. Cruising around and at idle it does'nt sound a whole lot different. WOT is a different story. It sounds pretty good. I really like the tone but I'm not sure if it's loud enough. I was expecting/hoping it would be a bit louder. But it's not bad. I'm pretty pleased with it.

Like I said, I know of a few people around here that broke 350rwhp with bolt-ons, I was kind of hoping for that. I don't know how common that is though. I think it also takes some cool air, obviously we don't have that right now.

Thanks for the help guys, I have to lay low with the mods for awhile now, gotta let the Visa cool down a bit.

Nice numbers, im sure on a little cooler day youd hit your 350 mark for sure. heat/humidity is murder at the track/dyno

Almost the exact same mods here, almost the exact same numbers. 343 rwhp, 355 rw torque. I'd say your #'s are right on.

Heat amd humidity are killer. I dynoed 431/405 last Friday but the correction factor was 1.05 and the humidty was .35. That means 2/3 air, 1/3 water, and water doesn't compress like air does.

I'm not going to do h20 pump or flywheel. I think I'm maxed out before heads-cam-90/90-true duals.

Dont' have it but I've considered it.

I'm not sure how effective it would be with the FIPK because it's not sealed though.

We'll see.

the FTRA shouldnt affect your numbers on the chassis dyno but it should help on the butt dyno.

Is that with cats? Just seems a little on the low side for what you have. Heat doesn't matter too much due to the adjustments. I got the numbers in my sig on a 90 degree humid as crap day. I remember it was miserable. That was also without the ported tb and with my timing not advanced much.

who cares about dyno numbers? i care about SOTP gain! a 400hp truck will dyno higher than your car stock for stock. which one is more fun to drive though? FTRA FTW! i'll be getting one soon. supposed to boost mpg too.

Without cats.

From what I have seen/heard, these numbers are pretty average, and if your numbers are sae, I'd say that (358) is above average, especially without a TB. You got a strong car.
