Default 98-99 vs 01-02 headers

What's the difference between headers made for 98-99 camaros and those for 2000 and above? Can I use 01-02 slp headers with a 99 Z28?

The only difference is the location of the emissions fittings (air & egr). If you plan on deleting the air/egr, you can use any 98-02 header on any 98-02 fbody, just block off the emissions fittings. If you plan on keeping the air/egr, you'll have to modify those hookups, but it's not hard at all. My buddy used my 98-99 mac headers on his 2000 TA and we just shortened/bent the EGR tube and added some more hose for the driver's side AIR tube.

I need to be able to pass emissions though - I can buy inspection stickers but for $108 a piece. What would I need to do in order to make a 01-02 or 00 headers fit my 99?

Don't get slp headers unless you don't care about ground clearance.

'00 headers are the same as '98~'99... thought i might just clear that up for ya

if you need to put '01~'02 headers on your '99 you will need to get rid of EGR on your car (you won't pass smog without it)

...there's a sticky up top calling your name for you to read it
