Default Price for welded in cutout

What should i expect to pay at a muffler shop to have a 3" cutout welded in?

Wow, where do you all live?

It took the guy at he muffler shop over an hour to install/weld my cutout. He had to removed the i-pipe, cuz he would not have been able to get his welder above the i-pipe between the floorboard.

They ended up only charging me for the hour, $50 plus tax.

It cost me 50$ dollars in Virginia, but probley could of donw it cheaper somewhere else.


Probley just cause it was illegal cause it took less than 15 min.

yeah jus got mine in monday and it was $50 cash money. it took over an hour from prep to cutting to welding. i thought 50 was fair.

I have seen some places charge close to 100$, so shop around.

wow...I went and got both cats cut off and two pipes put back in place. Cost me $100 because it's 'illegal'. I wouldn't be suprised if I could get it done for $15 tops.
