Default Magnaflow?

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/parts/15693.jpg

Is there a V8 version like this or is it strictly for V6's? It looks just like that except the I-Pipe is straight except for the bend to go over the axle.

I run magnaflow on my Formula and they do offer a V6 kit for years 1993-97, then a slightly different setup for 98+. Should be on the website somewhere

What I'm trying to figure out is if the one pictured is the v6 set up or if that is a v8. I know the one pictured is what everybody shows on their web sites but is that what it actual looks like?

That's the V8 kit. Dead ringer for the one on mine. The V6 kit is very similar in appearance though, but with a smaller diameter pipe I believe

Sorry guys, the image above, the 15693 kit is for V6 models, you can tell by the passenger's tail pipe routing around the back of the muffler. The V8 systems are 15620 and 15684. I run the CAD department at Magnaflow.

hey. funny guy. must you rub it in?

it sounds pretty decent, very smoothe, a little raspy in between shifts at WOT and neutral revs, very quiet on stock manifolds, stainless steel and lasts forever, good ground clearance with the muffler, better than my old 80 series crossflow flowmaster on my V6. that sums up magnaflow.

here's a clip of magnaflow:

the title is wrong, it's not a SLP dual/dual. don't ask, long story.

The sound in that clip is Magnaflow on stock manifolds, but I'd be willing to bet that the stock cats aren't in there. That clip is much too raspy and loud to have cats involved. If cats are indeed still in place, I'm guessing that the aftermarket Magnaflow muffler that was put into that existing exhaust system sounds different than the catback itself.

i gotta have cats since i passed inspection less than 2 months ago. they check for that stuff in NJ. i caught the inspection guy looking under my hood and under my car. i'm brake-stalling the car up to 1500rpm's when i go WOT so you could hear it better. it is NOWHERE NEAR that loud at idle. i did that because you can't even hear it at normal idle.
