TSP 85mm Lids have been backordered forever. Seems like FTRA was working on an injection-molded 90mm piece...

yes i am not that stupid to just check the website i spoke with someone on the phone at TSP he said they were on backorder and to basically not even bother because he highly doubts they will make them anymore. so the G2 lid is 89.9mm??? is that a fact?

People like to run 90mm throttle bodies and 85mm MAF's along with a larger lid to open up the intake tract more. These items need TUNING work however, so don't go start buying without some research lol.

pretty much every lid has an neck ID of 85mm+, the point of the "85mm" lids is to be able to slide the 85mm MAF into the lid the same way the factory maf/standard aftermarket lid works, so that you do not have to use any couplers or adapters. I haven't handled an 85mm MAF in a while, but I believe the OD of the maf housing is in the 95mm area.

With that said, nobody makes a lid for "proper" use with an 85mm MAF, there are hundreds of threads on the matter.

so your saying that even if i do get the g2 lid which has 88.9mm it still wont fit with the z06 85mm MAF? Right now i have a SLP lid but it doesnt even come close to fitting with the 85mm MAF

That's precisely what I said.

Measure the OD of your 85mm MAF end and see how big it is...

I just measured a stock MAF, and the OD of the MAF end is ~89mm (giving a good tight fit when crammed into the lid). I would guess and say the 85mm MAF end in the ~95-100mm OD area.

You can use an 85mm MAF on a factory sized lid without a huge impedance of flow... but you must use an additional coupler to connect the MAF to the lid neck. (as seen at http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...62&BIG=23062-1 )
