Default Joined catted y pipe?

Along the premise of an H pipe vs X pipe, would there be any pluses to putting a pipe in between a y pipe somewhere to reduce rasp?

I woulden't think it would change anything but I could be wrong.

Not 100% sure but I doubt that it would help at all, the whole point of a H, X pipe is to help even out the exhaust pressure between the two sides and with a Y pipe is would already be connected at the end of the Y pipe

Position of the X/H relative to the header
collector is supposed to move the resonant
extraction peak around. Closer-in, moves it
higher in RPM. Our Y-pipe system is pretty
long. But I don't expect this has anything
much to do with "rasp". Rasp in my opinion
comes from poor construction, sharp edges
in the gas stream generating high harmonics
on top of the exhaust pulses. That's why I
hand-dress everything I put on the car.
Seen some pretty ugly stuff inside Y-pipes,
the stock cats even, but cleaned up I got
none of the "rasp" people complain about.
