Default Help with my throttle body

Hey guys, I own a 99 camaro z28. I have no mods done to the engine yet but i'm about to get started. I want to buy a MAF sensor and a throttle body. It will probably be a while before I get a new intake manifold, so I was wondering what size of a throttle body should I buy? Thanks

i would just port the stock throttle body and leave the stock MAF alone. What other mods do you have or plan on having?

There is really no point to touch the stock maf unless you are seeing upwards of 500hp. However, there are good throttle bodies on the market, but I really wouldnt buy one for a first mod. Do you have a lid and/or catback (cutout)? I would do that stuff first.

Personally, I am building the suspension before I break into the engine (bolt-ons included).

I have a SLP loudmouth catback. I plan on putting on some LT pacesetter headers over the winter. I have an SLP lid on the way plus I want to get one of those cold air induction packages.

with those mods you should definitly just port the throttle body and leave the MAF alone. Just put that money that you didnt spend into underdrive pulleys for a couple extra hp.
