Header keeps burning my plug wire!!!!!!

Default Header keeps burning my plug wire!!!!!!

Does somone have a remedy for things like this????

If your plug wire rests on your header make sure you are using the exact model number for the LS1. I have the MSD kit and has almost no slack between the plug and the coil.

Make sure you have your stock heat shields on. That may help as well.

I know most headers will come with an extra plate of metal welded on to try and keep that part cooler. My wires hit, but the extra plate keeps it from burning. Check into some header wrap or find a way to use a clip to keep the wire from touching.

damn theres no clip cause the wire is too short....i dont think a thin strip of tape will cool temps down long enough...maybe multiple strips!

Run the truck LS1 wires and get the taylor heatproof boot shields if you are having that bad of a problem.
