You'll get tons of different opinions. How loud can you stand it to be? I just put an electric cutout on mine, so it could be loud when I wanted, quiet when I needed it to be. With the gutted cats, mine is pretty damn loud, but stock sounding with the cutout closed.

You can get O2 simulators to prevent the engine light from coming on. Or you can always get a tune. SLP LoudMouth makes a nice sounding exhaust.

Check out www.ls1sounds.com There is a bunch of video clips of different exhaust on LS1 cars. Pick the one you like and go for it. I have LTs, !Cats, and a cut-out. It doesn't make a damn difference when I close it and go through the stock muffler anymore. heh I think I broke it.

I used O2 sims. They're usually ~$50 used in the "Parts for Sale" section.
