Default Pacesetter ORY Too Close To Fuel Lines

Got around to putting the ORY on.

That has got to be dangerous. I cant recall how close it was stock. But I can only slip a finger inbetween them. Did I do something wrong or is this normal?

You can always wrap your lines. I wrapped mine with header wrap.

Do what some TD guys do, flip both brackets, gives you LOADS more breathing room if it really bothers you... that's what I did and it's a non-issue at this point. Good luck.

Eat your wheaties...

I'm just kidding mine weren't easy either, I needed to hold the lines in place while my friend started threading the bolt, then I torqued 'em down. Definitely feels like they're gonna break, but they won't (...shouldn't ) If it doesn't bother you that much, then like others said, **** it and either put some heat wrap, or just let it be. Good luck dude.

EDIT: Did you undo BOTH brackets at once and get the lines free? That helped me. There should be slots for the lines in their new home for some reason already on the bracket, as though GM knew we'd turn 'em for true duals... I guess we got that instead of a full frame

I could have got them there, but id rather not have broken the lines lol. ANd yep took them both completly off.

After driving the car. I think its too close to everything. It rattles and bumps bad. Ill probably buy a ton of wrap for the pipe and the fuel lines and try that

Alright then I'd just readjust the y-pipe till it doesn't come as close. And might I sugguest, when my duals were too close (well, most still are, I need to drop the whole thing about 3/4", doesn't matter because I have OVER a soda can at the lowest point so I have room to give), my friend who works HVAC had some gasket making sheets. It's basically 1/8" thick (give or take) sheets of rubber that you can cut out. Those coupled with some hose clamps in the spots where it's banging will do you well. Try that out, I can find out what the **** is actually called if you want.
