Default CME with a bullit muffler

has anyone done it? im putting on headers soon and want to re-use one of my bullit mufflers from my true duals set up. and can an exhaust shop do it like that? run the exhaust over the axle and then split it to run to the two sides of the tip?

I'm sorry I don't quite understand your question... Do you mean run the bullet in the I pipe? Or on each side of the car after the axle? Kind of confused...

yeah, put the bullit in the I pipe, then run the exhaust like it normally would over the rear axle, then split it and have it wrap around to the center mount tips. im just not sure if a normal exhaust shop can split the pipe like that.

Don't see why not... that's basically what the loudmouth is. In fact you might have good luck getting the LM, ditching that resonator, and put your own bullet in. Many people do that, should sound pretty good!

True, well CME **** is apparently in very high demand, so selling it shouldn't prove to be hard, and you should net some good $. Might be able to have a muffler shop do something cheap, it's not a very complicated setup, you might end up ahead of the game...

I had my exhaust installed this past Wednesday and the shop I took it to was going to do it but my tips needed to be welded by the center bar and reinforced by another bar that connects them. They couldn't do aluminum welding and I had a hard time finding someone local to weld them up. I'll be taking my tips back to them once I can get them welded together.

But if your tips are good, they shouldn't have a hard time doing something like that.
