new oil pump?

Default new oil pump?

Gonna be doing heads on my 02 TA in the next few weeks, any recomendations on if i should swap out my factory oil pump for a ported unit? Was thinking about it since i was already gonna be getting dirty.

its more of a concern for 00 and older ls1's but, if you got the cash or alot of miles , it wouldnt hurt.

IMO dont mess with the pump...the stocker will flow enough and its a pain in the *** to swap oil pumps.

if you have a lot of miles on it, sure why not replace while your in there... otherwise stay away from it cuz it's a damn hassle. if you do... have fun with that oil pickup tube bolt and getting that bottom sprocket off
