Default Emmissions block off plates.....How thick?

I started to make some block off plates for my headers going in this weekend. I need to get this done quick! I finished doing 2 of the 3 and then I thought that maybe they are too thin. I don't know what gauge it is. They can bent w/o much trouble. I don't want it to be a waste because they fit perfect. I've got some thicker aluminum that is strong. I could use that if I have to.

What do yall think?

I made mine out of 1/8" aluminum to be safe, but I've seen guys make them with 1/16" with no leaks.

dont sweat the little stuff, use gasker maker and make sure it cures well and you'll be fine, 1/16 is plenty if you do it right

Okay...I used my thin plates and so far they work. I haven't driven the car yet, but I started it and revved it up some. I'll do a WOT test or 3 to make sure.

I believe the copper gasket maker can withstand the heat at the EGR tube. The EGR tube hangs off of the header a little bit, so it stays much cooler than the primaries.
