So I ditched that emissions crap. It idles better and quietly and the exhaust doesn't pop or make a funny fluttery noise when I let off the gas either. My SES light came on of course. I need it tuned out. Anyone near Austin, TX?
Everybody needs to check their PCV system I bet the rubber fittings are broke or really weak/crumbling.
I had put a new PCV valve and a catchcan in the other day and it was working. I did it because I saw that the rubber around the valve was trashed and I was seafoaming my intake as the last step so I didn't want more oil it there. So...as i'm taking off the AIR system behind the cowl, I have more room to see the rest of the PCV system. I've heard about some rubber piece in the back that connects 3 lines together like this ===----. Well, mine was ripped in half! I went to the store and got a T fitting and some rubber hose and fixed it all up. I'm happy now.
