Default Help, steering knuckle rubbing headers!

I put LT Pacesetter headers on my 98' Camaro Z28 and I had to dent the header a little and grind the steering knuckle to get it back on. But it still rubs pretty bad. Has this happened to anyone else?? How do I fix it? Thanks, Steve.

is it the astual knuckle or the tubing that is rubbing ? you might be able to loosen your header bolts and try to raise the header alittle.

had the same problem on a ta that had been wrecked. there are 2 different racks for these cars.put the right rack on it and the steering arm was at a diffefent angle and it cleared fine.this was after about 2 days work, denting the header about 1/4 way shut and trying several suposedly right racks from auto zone.got a used one from a z/28 and has over 1" clearance--other one's must have been from 6 cyl cars.
