Default Coil pack wiring Q

How do I tell which of the plugs is for example for cylinder 1? There are no markings on the wiring and I was not able to find any wiring diagram with colors / codes.

I am doing a carbed LM7 and have bought the coil pack wiring (2 wires with one big plug and 4 small ones) new from GM.

Help me out, thanks!

TTT i have the same question, im relocating my coil packs how do i tell which is #1 and #7 i have them mounted in the new brackets. i guess if one way doesnt work there is only 1 other option ( back wards ) but, is there a better way to determine the which coil pack goes to which plug? markings on harnes? or pins on connector?

Cylinder #1 = Purple

Cylinder #7 = Pink

Cylinder #2 = Pink
Cylinder #4 = Dk Green
Cylinder #6 = Lt Blue
Cylinder #8 = Purple

This is off of a 2000 TA but should still be the same layout
Check out this lay out to yours.
this is what worked for me.

Good find!

I've relocated my coils and now run billit valve covers. I marked each connector with marker from the cylinder it came from, but this thread may come in handy one day.

I know this is 5 years old but thank God for this search button! I had mine backwards on the passenger side on my reinstall and couldn't figure what was wrong with it
