Default bad case of the SQUEEKS!!!

after installing my cam in my camaro, the car has recently come down with a 'bad case of the squeeks'. it only happends at random times and i just cant really pin-point the location its coming from(i believe its in the rear, near the muffler). i recently sprayed each hanger/bolt with a little wd40 just to see if that would temporarily get rid of the noise...but that didnt really work. it usually happends after about 10-20 min of driving and the squeeking just goes insane! i thought it would be from the rubber hanger, drivers side, towards the rear of the car holding up that side of the cat back. im LITERALLY going insane from this damn squeeking sound and im ready to chop my exhaust off!!!! anyone have any similar incidents? would poly motor mounts do the trick?!?! im clueless!! help me before the squeekiness makes me blow up my car!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My exhaust is squeeking at the clamp between the y-pipe and intermediate pipe. Make sure all of th your clamps are tight and make sure that the connections are tight....they will squeek like crazy if they aren't.
Also, check your heat shields and make sure they are bolted on tight...they don't really squeek, but they can rattle really bad.

you will most likely need your bushings replaced. I had this similar problem with mine and tried the silicone sprays but nothing worked. Mine would also start after maybe 10 to 15 minutes of driving. I replaced the bushings and problem gone.

As mentioned above check the connection to the Y-pipe and the intermediate pipe. I too was also losing my mind from a rattling towards the rear of the car once and it turned out the spare tire was loose. Good luck rattling will drive you nuts

I think he said squeaking not rattling. I know there are a few threads on this board about this issue.

I usually get a bad case of the squeeks after I hit the Chinese buffet for lunch, Taco Bell usually does it also.

It's probably a bushing as was already stated in the thread. I usually squeek in the back when I go over a speed bump, just been too lazy to find which bushing it is that's doing it.
