Default Gain to SLP 85MM Mas Air

I have a stock Mass Air meter on my 2000, I have Cam & Converter & bolt ons. Do I stand to gain anything by going to a SLP 85MM Mas Air. Or should I just leave it stock?

you would probably gain some however i have heard many problems with people changing their maf. most of them have been with porting and removing the maf screen but i wouldnt touch it IMO....i think its goof for right around 500hp. and i dont think your makin that yet

I went from a stock descreened maf to the slp 85mm right on the dyno and I made exactly 1rwhp and 2rwtq on a heads and cam car over the stocker. So really not worth it. I also still have a LS6 intake and stock throttle body unported though.

If you can tune it right, then you don't need the voodoo
mods (bent-cal MAFs being one). If you can't tune it,
you want one even less.
