underdrive pulley question
I have searched and know that an underdrive pulley can have good gains... but my question is how about if you don't have A/C or P/S? I know the gains are going to be reduced quite a bit from this... is it even worth it anymore? What kind of gains would you get from that? All that I have up front is alternator and water pump.
Thanks

id say its still worth it, at full throttle your ac will turn off anyways so thats not much of a concern
i bypassed the power steering once at the track and didnt see any gains anyways, so im guessing the gains from the underdrive pulley is from slowing down the water pump & alternator

my experience with the ud pulley, seems to point to the water pumps as being the hardest thing to turn. i have a ewp (installed before ud pulley) and i noticed the improvement (revs faster, alil more powerful, etc..) it was a noticible sotp feel, where as when i installed the ud pulley, it was as if i didnt do anything very noticible, still felt just about the same- but alot of other people have noticed the ud pulleys when they have not went to an ewp. so im guessing you'd still see an improvement. if you have a mechanical pump. if you have a ewp i dont see the pulley being worth the money.
i have had no battery problems with my ud pulley, but i dont have an aftermarket head unit or amp etc just the water pump, improved speakers, and radar devices i always have on.

Not meaning to hijack your thread.. but does the ewp have any effect whatsoever on a daily driven car.
