Default JBA header install

I live in Cali, so yeah they are shorties.

Question is about the passenger side header. All the write ups i've seen say the Y-pipe needs to be removed, and mine can't be removed as it's welded to the LM1 I-pipe. The drivers side has a flange to remove the down pipe but there is no flange on the passenger side.

So..

Do I try and replace them from the top
Cut the pipe and put a clamp on til I can get to a shop
Just clamp it and leave it

any and all suggestions welcome (I think)

I installed the same headers on my old car, They wont fit from the top to my knowledge. Your going to have to get the Y pipe out one way or another. you could try and drop the whole Y pipe from where it goes over the axle or just cut it and clamp it till you can get it welded back up, thats the bad thing about welding GOOD LUCK
