Default Air filter for drag strip

Looking for a super high flow filter to use @ the strip, was thinking a fine cheese cloth or some pantyhose. Any thoughts?

For a 1/4 mile pass you should be fine without one.

huge peice of lighty oiled foam, dont know how youd seal it though. air duct filter maybe. dunno how restrictive they are but you can easily see through them so they gotta have pretty high flow.

Dont use one, I got my best time without one!! time with one in=13.4-13.5, without one=13.3.... its not like ur riding behing someone at the track+no dust, so nothing should get into ur intake, just remeber to put it back i before you leave the track.....

I don't know about that, it seems risky to run without the filter

Take an old fram filter and cut out the center filtering element. Stuff it inside a pair of pantyhose. glue then cut the edges off. Make sure the glue holds well. This will offer some protection for those of us who no longer have a screen on their MAFs. Could also use screen from the hardware store if you dont want to be caught buying jumbo sized pantyhose!
