I plan to do those mufflers out the back too, under the axle with stainless steel and H pipe. Where to we put the muffler in the system? I think i'm gunna try to stick em' where the catback muffler would go.

yea, they're $73 a piece i believe. talk to jmm98LS1 on where to put them. i think he put them right around the back tire so when he goes over bumps they don't bottom out. he'll tell you the best place to put them.

I just installed these fri nite. I got the TSP true-duals without mufflers and used these. The sound is insane! They emit the sweetest tone anytime at any throttle postition! No rasp, no crudeness, just badass!

BTW, mine are just out the mufflers, no turn downs, nothing, it's freaking LOUD! I seriously think it's louder than my cutout was with the ORY

i put mine after the axle. i tried to stuff them under and hide them but it didnt work out so well. i should have put them before the axle. I may dump them this winter while the car is sitting.

BTW how will the sound be compared.. dumped vs ran out the back.. like i said his was TDs are dumped and mine are ran out teh back..
Well even out the back its loud in the car and now that i took the back seats out it seems like it is louder in the car. ive heard it from outside the car and cant imagine how loud it must be inside, dumped.

i'd get them both in the center. seems to me having them offset could restrict the flow a bit more, plus make it harder to fab up.

Yessiree my friend, those are the exact ones you want! BTW, those are the cheapest I could find them too so far ($73 each). Even if I find them cheaper, we're at most only talking a few bucks less. Just order those bad boys and GET 'ER DONE Jonas!

I'll call you soon,

Mike

PS - And yes, you will finally be happy with the sound of your LS1

I am thinking of re-doing my exhaust setup to make it louder/better sounding. I run FLP LT's, ORY, hooker catback. Sounds great but I want something better.

Is it recommended to run an H or X pipe off LT's? Then I would dump the 1-chambers before the axle. I've been searching for various setups to see how they are fabbed/etc.

Thanks
Andy

general rule of thumb..

H= Bassy, muscle car sound

X= racy, high pitched sound

it is all about prerence
