Default gutting cats???

hey what's going on guys, I'm gona run a pacesetter lt with a ory, but for right now I still have stock y pipe with cats, is there anyway to take the stock y pipe out gut the inside of the cats and put the y pipe back on? I own a grand cherokee, and you can do it with the jeep i just didnt know about a camaro.

Do you mean you already have LT's? You can not run a stock Y pipe with LT's. Not without stupid amunts of fab work anyhow.

If you mean you still have stock manifolds, then yes you can take the stock cats off and cut them. Personally I think it's pretty pointless, the HP and noise gain won't be light and day and the hassle involved for it just seems pointless.

I see this to be the kind of you do when you have no money.

Something to do, but to no real advantage.

Or to put it another way, no body has ever lost a race because they didn't cut their cats.

yeah i have stock headers right now, and we're doing it on the jeep i just didnt know about the camaro, thanks for the info man

I may have sounded a little anti it.

Seriously loads of people will proabably say do it. And in reality it won't cause any harm and should free up a pony or two.

It really is personal preference.
