Default Will a '02 throttle body fit a 98??

I'm doing an ls6 intake swap and the one I have has a ported throttle body already on it. It came off an '02. Will this fit my 98 or will I have to use the original??

Pretty sure it will fit, you just need to swap out the throttle shaft and spring from your 98 TB.

Its real easy, I just did it yesturday. take the two screws out of the blade and slide the blade out. then use a brass or rubber mallet to hit the end until the shaft comes out. hit the end that does not have the spring on it, you use rubber or brass because they are softer then the shaft, you dont want to mushroom it. You have to give it a couple good taps because it has a real thin and small locking nut on it. No need to reuse it, no one does. You have to change the shaft because on 98-99 cars like ours the part of the shaft that the throttle cable hooks to is smaller, on the newer models they have more throttle cable and a larger piece to their throttle body, just do like everyone says and swap out the shaft with your stocker and it will be good to go.

It will fit, but the throttle cam is different. May require some work to get the throttle cable adjusted correctly.

You could just swap out the throttle cam/blade.
