Default Educate me on the PCV System!

Ive searched and have found a lot but no where can I find what PCV stands for and what it is. Heard of the PCV mod but dont know what it is. I like the look of a breather but will I benifit from the PCV mod and breather with the mods in my sig or wait until later. Also....ive read that it causes problems....like what?

Your search skillz leave a lot to be desired if you can't even find what PCV stands for. No real need to mess with it unless you are bored. If done improperly, you'll be blowing out seals and contaminating your engine oil with moisture and other nasties.

Yea I meant I only searched this website and couldnt find the info in the forums. Would it be worth doing the mod now even if it was just for looks? Or will I cause more problems and just leave it alone.
