Harmonic Balancer questions.

Harmonic Balancer questions. My friend has a 98 Corvette whose harmonic balancer outer ring has slipped off. He has ordered a new one and it came but I noticed the balancers have no keyway on them. Does it need to be lined up somehow correctly with the crank or just press it on? If someone has a how-to for this would make things easier also.

It just presses on with the crank bolt, You will need a longer one to start with and a new stock length one to finally torque down. Go to ls1howto.com this will be extremely helpful. Heads and cam install has it towards the end.
