aren't there threaded holes to use the other type of puller (that use bolts)?

I just bought one from the classifieds and this is the PM I got from the guy...

I had to get a different type of puller than the 3 arm one i used when I swapped from the stock pulley to the ASP...for some reason it wouldnt work so I wasnt able to get it off the engine until tonight...i am sorry for the delay and I hope I didnt hold you up..just to let you know...if you ever plan on taking the asp off again a screw in puller does the trick..
Hope that helps.

You prolly need to get a longer bolt (which is recomended for safer install) There's a thread in here somewhere with the bolt size for the longer one.

I wouldn't put any type of lubricant on the crank or the outside of the pulley. Think abou it, how are you going to get that stuff off once you seat the pulley? To seat the pulley, you "should" use an installer tool like a stud and nut, that way you don't run the risk of messing up the threads on your crank. You "could" use a longer bolt to get it started, then use the old bolt to slowly seat the pulley all the way. Then just torque the new bolt on there.

Do a search for the user name "618HAWK" or "2xLS1" and you'll find the tool I'm talking about. Both guys sell a tool that will get the job done.
