Question Where to install oil pressure sender?

Where would one install the Auto Meter oil pressure sender on an LS1 f-body?

Personally I put in an oil temp gauge since these cars already have the oil pressure gauge.
However, you can install it into the same place as most people put the aftermarket oil temp gauge. There is a bracket right above the oil filter, remove the two bolts and it will detach from the car. Look carefully there is a partial hole in the casting that isn't completely drilled thru. Assuming you have the 1/8"-27 NPT fitting sensor you will need to complete the drill thru the casting with a letter "R" drill (0.339" diameter) as this is the tap drill size for the 1/8-27 pipe tap (you will have to go to a "Real" hardware store to get this size drill-automotive shops and Home depot will rarely carry this size even though they will more than likely sell the tap). After you drill the hole thru tap the hole out being sure not to go any deeper than 6 or 7 full threads from the top of the tap. A pipe tap is tapered and if you go too deep with the tap the thread won't seal as the hole will be too big.

Walah- assemble, run your wires, and your done!
