Default Need a fast answer!!

For starters this IS NOT a typical lid thread, im not gonna ask which is better or what you like best

My car is a 99, and *i think* it is supposed to have the fugly black hose going into the side of the air lid. Im gettin ready to order a clear lid right now and wanna know if I get the 2000+ style can I just put one of those small breather filters on the end of the hose and make it work or is their more to it!

~thanks folks!

edit***** ok found out the 98-99 dont have the hose. do i need an AIR tube filter or not to tuck it away?

98-99 lids do not have the air pump hose. 00-02 do. i belive you can just get a breather filter for the hose if you need to.

if you deleted your air pump, like i did, get the 98-99 lid and call it a day. wont need the breather if the air is gone

The air hose was to keep moisture and dirty out of the pump. My 99 SS burnt up 2 pumps in a short amount time because of it.
