Default Are o2 Sensors Needed with Header Swap?

I am installing Pacesetter LT's and ORY and I didnt know if I needed to reuse the o2 sensors OR if I could just use the o2 "plugs" and Tune it out later?

Are they needed for the engine to know if it is running too rich / lean?

Stew

Edit: I am asking about the Front and Rear o2's if either set is necessary.

If the LTs' dont have an 02 extension than you will have to get sims, but if they have the 02 extensions than just plug your 02 sensors in where they go.

the fronts are a must. the rears can be deleted out. you can also reuse the stockers.

Like ^^^ said... the front ones have to be in which u can just use the stock ones, however, if you get LT's, which is your case then u must order o2 extensions. Alot of the sponsers have them. Off the top of my head, Speedinc has them. They will extend the stock o2 sensors longer so they can reach the holes in the LT's. The rear o2's dont need to be on, but it will be a good idea to invest in a tune and get the codes deleted, unless u want ur engine light on all the time. Also, you'll need some zip ties to tie up the o2 extensions out of the way.

I got the vette ones, and haven't had any issues with slow switching, as has been posted by some who have used the stockers with extensions
You can get the vette rears at speedycarparts.com for less than $70 each
