Default Car is still acting crazy in rain

Mabye some of guys saw my other post well about my car in the rain. I had longtubes installed this past June 06 , car runs and drives great in dry weather.
Well, when it rains this is when the trouble starts.I should have taken care of this a long time ago, but it never rained enough to make it a problem; However, it did yesterday. First of all, it's not acting up any time it rains, usually if the car has been sitting in the rain or i hit a large puddle, or if its raining really hard. If it is a light drizzle and the road is wet, i'm fine.

Symptoms : Idling like it has a huge cam, spitting and stuttering when i push the gas, it moves but barley.

Struggling to shift , but still does
Engine light will blink on and off sometimes, but goes solid after about 10 seconds.

I had my car tuned last week, engine light was off ( o2 sims delete, egr delete) an o2 sensor code did come up however. The engine light has come back on yesterday when the car started acting up.

I parked my car outside last night ( its usually in the garage ) , i cranked it up
this morning ( no rain ) , and it showed the symptoms.

I'm not sure what it is, i'm thinking its the o2 sensor getting water in it, or the spark plugs? My car is lowered and I have bottomed out, if that could have cracked the o2 sensor wires.

Sorry for the long post

Since it's water related, I'd check the plug wires, often water will get on the wires and if the insulation is bad the water provides an alternate path for the electricity to follow instaed of going to the plug, this also could be a symptom of a cracked insulator on the plug
As for it doing it today, was it cold out, or did you have a heavy morning dew

I see what your saying, but wouldnt that happen with the stock manifolds also? This has only happened since LT install.

Well you might have cracked the insulation when you re installed the plugs, (or it may have been cracked from the store) or you might have ripped the insulation at the boot when you took off the plug wire(s) it doesn't take a huge rip or crack to let some water in

I would definitely change out the plugs and the 02 sensors (bosch 13111 are long enough to use without extensions if I remember correctly).

Did you leave the plugs in when you put the headers in ????

You drive your car in the rain?

Seriously, you can take a spray bottle of water and pop the hood with the engine running. Spray around your plug wires. If you hear (or see) an arc, the car stumble, etc...you'll know where to focus.

I'm going to vote plug wires also.

Alright, The wires make the most sense I guess. What about the fact that it messes up when it has been sitting in the rain ?

I knew it would be the O2s. You probably just need to reset the computer.

With the ignition on - CAR OFF

Pull the PCM IGN and PCM BATT fuse from the fuse block under the hood.

Let sit for 15 mins.

TURN THE KEY OFF

Replaces fuses

Start the car. Hopefully that will clear you're SES light.
