Default Crankshaft Position Sensor Code

P0336 Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance

I'm getting this code and the car runs like hell. It stumbles and finally stalls. I can then start it and all seems fine. But it always comes back.
The sensor has been replaced but it made no difference. Any help would be appreciated. It is frustrating.
Thanks
Joe

Not sure, but think when you replace it you're supposed to do a crank sensor "relearn" with software. Try resetting the PCM and see what happens. Sorry not much help, someone will chime in...

yes you do have to do the relearn procedure. you pretty much have to take it to a shop with the right software. it may also be the reluctor ring on the crank.

We did a crank relearn and nothing changed. I'm hoping, bigtime, that it's not the reluctor wheel. The harness has been checked for continuity. Hoping that someone has seen some condition that seems unrelated but still throws the code.
Thanks
