Exclamation Help with under drive pulley install

I have a buddy with a 99 Trans Am and he's wanting to put on a under drive crank pulley on. Him and I tried to get the stock one off but with no luck.
How do you get it off? We tried to hold the flywheel and torque converter while we tried to take off the stock pulley but the bolt just won't budge.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

breaker bar with a 3 foot pipe on it - make sure to use a 6 point socket too! You can get more room if you use an extension on the breaker bar to clear the front accessories, and swing the pipe from the top of the engine bay.

stop whatever your doing and either go rent or buy a LARGE 3 prong pulley puller and wrench that **** out... heating it up some can also help, with like a torch if you have access, otherwise i just the pulley puller should to the trick

pretty sure he's talking about removing the center bolt, so it wouldn't help him to have a puller...YET!

grab you some needle nose vice grip pliers...

Take the large round inspection cover off the transmission and grab the converter mounting pad itself with the vice grips and lock em down.

Then take a 1/2 drive 24mm deep socket, a 1/2 drive breaker bar and a jack handle and proceed from the top to bust her loose.

To remove the stock pulley safely, go to an Autozone and use their Chrysler pulley remover. Works great.

i had a 3 foot pipe on mine .. still didnt budge, i could of pulled harder , but if i slipped somthing would of went flying,or i would of broke the bar, i have broken a few before, and you can feel it strech right before it gives out- its usually not good when they do .. impact gun much safer+easier. and i guess some are harder then others .. because the second time i took mine off it was easy. the first time, the breaker bar wouldnt do anything. i had to remove my fans to get the 3/4 impact gun on there though -still easy task. why's everyone on here seem to be afriad of impact guns. there great for removing bolts, usually they bring the entire bolt out too, unlike putting all your might into a breaker bar- that just tends to start breaking bolts and tools.
