You want a rubber freeze plug, I got one at pepboys. You could probably find them at a hardware store too.

i got a 1 3/8" freeze/expansion plug from Autozone. Either of these stores should have one: Autozone, Advance Auto Parts, Pep Boys, Jegs, Napa.

Yea, Autozone had them. Its made by Dorman or something like that. The plug had a range. 1 1/4" to 1 3/8" ...thats the one I have.

yeha

when you take the EGR pipe out of the front of the intake

ok
so

Incase anyone wanted a tutorial

Unplug the EGR.. 1 plug top of the egr canister

Unbolt the 1 bolt on the EGR connecting it to the intake: 1 10mm bolt

Unbolt the 2 bolts holding the EGR canister to the Passengerside Head: 2 15?mm bolts

Unbolt the EGR from the old exhaust manifold: 2 10mm bolts

Remove the EGR from the car..

Get in truck

GO to NAPA

Get 1 3/8 inch steel freeze plug from napa... 85 cents inc tax

Get Black Spray paint.. 3 bucks

Get Orange RTV gasket maker with copper.. 4.99

go home

Black Krylon paint... Spray paint both sides

Apply RTV on the side of the plug, pretty liberally

Set in hole in intake

Get 7/8 socket or the biggest one you have, set it in the plug

Tap in Gently with a "small" hammer

Finish the rest of your header install like me...... or bolt up/fabricate a blockoff plate for the gaping hole where you EGR used to bolt up.

go drive

Don't forget about our sponsors! Speed Inc has them for 2 bucks. They are cleaner looking than the one above.

Towards the bottom where the EGR block off plates are.
