That's not terribly unreasonable, but you you guys are right .. it's a big investment.
It does look and sound awesome though.

So tack another 800 on to that at least... 3400 dollars for a full exhaust.
Yes guys thats correct, but thats $3400 for all very good quailty Stainless Steel (this isnt cheap at all!), perfectly done welds, respectable Labor (done right) and for a car like that (motor & exhaust set up).... I'd pay that in a heart beat! Some of you guys are on budgets, some of you guys just dont care for expensive parts, some only buy the best even if price doesnt matter. Just take a look at some of the set-ups out there right now! Some are raspy as hell, some are stainless, some are a total of $700 headers and all, and even more are atleast around the $1500-2500 mark (labor included if you dont do it yourself). So whats another $1000 for a quality shop like Kooks, respectalbe workmanship, all SS, and a perfect system like this? Some might say its not worth it, but then some only want the best! I on the other hand would say- WHERE DO I BUY!

2600 for 2 cats and 4 mufflers all in stainless with some floorpan modification that is absolutely perfect is a ******* deal! If that wasn't over 10 hours away mine would be at that shop as soon as possible...

You don't speak for everyone here

I could own one of EACH of the cars you mention but I actually LOVE my car . . . my Wife feels the same about Hers

Mr. Kooks:

I'm running your 1 7/8" race Headers, your 3" Y-pipe, and a Corsa exhaust; the $2xxx Header-back system in this thread wouldn't be terribly quieter than my current set-up would it? I like it to sound as if the world stops when I shut off the car

I wouldn't need cats ofcourse . . . please PM me

I'd rather not drive from Miami, Fl

Would there be a problem of clearance on my Firehawk? It has the stock height . . . which is about 1/2" lower than stock WS6 height.

IF there would be no fitment issues and you could ship a set, I'd be interested in purchasing

I do need to speak to you about another issue though . . . at your convenience

Christopher

Nicely done. Unique approach to over the axle. If possible post a more detailed pic.

Well Done!

Is that stock ride height or lowered?

What size piping over the axle?

I was told by Kooks that their set-up has 0 tolerance for anything other than stock Trans Am ride height; even on my stock Firehawk suspension height

If I had the money right now I'd buy the bassani true dual exhuast and cut the piping before the big muffler and fab up the tail pipes to have 2 mufflers. the cutting of the piping would be after the phb bends and that would save us from buying a phb relocation kit since the piping is already bent around the phb

Good point...if true, maybe center inlet/ offset outlet (outlet lower down) would work to clear the rear valence on Camaros... if this is a rear problem. Something to think about, George?

Wow, the flow should be much better on those Kooks muffers with the longitudal slits instead of the usual perforated holes! Ingenious!

Impressive! Be talking to you George...

my car is lowered 2 inches.

the exhuast in 3in stainless steel. complelty mandrel bent, and 3 in the entire length.

i will have some more pics up shortly, of a slightly different set-up, where the mufflers are placed in a slightly different spot.

i will start a new thread showcasing the exaust to get a feeler on pricing and demand. it will inlcude high quality pics.

please pm me, with any further questions.

Here are a few pics of another SW dual system. We added mufflers later on, the guy wanted to run without them for week. The system has evolved slightly & will be a production piece soon. Installing this system does require moving the fuel pump harness (1/2/hr of work, notice the block off plate) and repositioning the brake line. I have more pics & a sound clip on the shop computer.
