ls6 intake port job

I bought mine already ported. For the composite intake there isn't to much that can be ported. It can be port matched to your heads and opened a little in that area but only about an inch or 2 into the runners, and the mouth can be ported you will just have to make your own gasket with RTV or something since you would port passed the stock gasket area.

I had a Fast 78 and tb ported by the top cylinder head porter at Lingfelter. He charges $300.00 for both. It looked like he was able to remove alot and he said there is alot he can do with the ls6. Its just the cost factor.

well theh FAST isnt a LS6.
there is a reason that you dont hear about ported LS6s too much..
theres not much plastic there to work with.
and with the candy cane runner design, and single piece manifold, you cant get to the inside to do anything nice like bellmouthing or anything.
so 99% of all "ported" LS6 intakes on here means someone hogged at the port openings to the head... and maybe did minimal grinding to the throttlebody inlet.. thats it.
