Default Is it possible to get 12 secs from bolt-ons only

Made my first 1/4 mile passes this pass friday at the track and the best I got out of my stock z-28 is 13.785 at 100 mph. Is it possible to get down to the 12 sec range with just bolt-ons and if so what bolt-ons do you guys suggest. By the way I was riding on c6 corvette wheels 19x10.5 back and 18x9 front

it's actually possible to get a 12.9X on a stock fbody with sticky tires pounding the poop out of it =p. Most people hit 12's after an intake / exhaust on any decent tire. When I had just had a airlid and a catback I did a best of 13.1 - the first time at the track in my life

Those rims aren't helping either. There's not enough of a sidewall to get you a good amount of grip and they're probably a lot heavier too. Pick up a set of stock 16s and throw some drag radials on the rear. You'll probably gain a decent amount of time.

I'm guessing some of you other guys coulda improved on these times keep in mind it is an a4 and I am new to this so any advice on driving and getting in the 12 sec club is greatly appreciated. I smoked an 05' stang on this pass though. that's something to brag about.

Man my buddy was running 12.8 pretty consistant with his 98' Auto Z-28. All he had was a lid, BBK TB, cats deleted, nitto DR & handheld tuner. He was on a stock stall & still is. Now he has the same mods plus a full dyno tune & NOS 5117 kit sprayin a 150 shot on the stock converter running 11.7.

I say get your basic bolt-ons, tires & then a small shot of some juice. Should put you in the low 12's with a good launch.

It comes with SLP's Loudmouth Quad catback. Don't know if you can find it separately.

I just bought a pair of those for my Draglites and they are the worst tires ever. I get not traction at all. My cheap street tires do better.

That's a good stall. I have a 4000 and love it. I don't know where to get the Quads because it's not on SLP's website anymore (discontinued?). Mine happened to come with the car.

ok this guy is saying bolt ons. a converter is not a bolt on. you have to take out the trans for it and therefor it is not a "bolt on." do headers, exhaust, lid, and some nice tires and u should be there
