Default Ported Throttle Body

Hey guys, just wanted to see what your opinios were on the job I did. I could probably be a little better, but just wanted to see if it was good enough before I throw it on the car. Thanks.

The last three pics are of the completed work. Let me know what you think!!
I put it on and had no issues with it idling or anything. Comparing it to the one I had on there , BIG DIFFERENCE!!!! Im gonna take it for a test run later on tonight!!!

can't really tell from the pics but make sure the lip is razor thin, . . the lip, being thick, creates tubulence, .

400 should be good, you can go to 600 if you want.

Just depends on how shiny you want it.

I used 80 then 400 then 1200, put a little polish and buffed. Had a mirror finish!

Yeah, comparing it to the old one, it was all rough. It took me a couple of days but I finally got it right and im pretty pleased with it.

I've never used a Dremmel.

You can go to any hardware store and pick up a drum sander with some extra sleeves.
Works great on the end of a variable speed drill or compressor.
It'll cost you ~$7-10.

That's all you need to port a TB.

I use a drum sander and go from coarse to medium to fine on the drums then 80 grit to get rid of the gouges from the drums followed by 120, 150, 220, 400, 600, 1000, then a polisher with compound...mirror finish

400 grit is available at home depot or at autoparts stores. Since you have a dremel, you can get some polishing paste and clean it real nice. Hit it quickly with the 400, then switch to the dremel and paste.

BTW, nice work.
