Default All with slammed rides and long tubes chime in!!!

I'm in a pickle...

My car is slammed...I mean, I can barely put a finger in between the tire and the wheel well, and I absolutely love it. But, X-mas is coming up and I want headers to accent my b&b tri flow. I live downtown where there is bumpy roads on some parts and/or construction. I've read posts on a number of occasions of headers hanging low or people scraping such as SLP, Jet Hot's or Pacesetters and I want to do anything in my power to avoid that. I realize that QTP's and Kooks are my other options because supposedly they tuck up nicely, but we all know those are over $1,000 with a y pipe. So here's where I need all of your help...Should I get Mac Mid Lengths so I have no worries about scraping. I know of two people who have these, both with borla, and it is rediculously loud. One of which his car is just as low as mine. Also appear to fit nicely and have no problems scraping. My cousin with an '02 SS has DMS springs (1.75" drop) and Jet Hot's and scrapes from time to time. Bottom line is, I don't want to spend $$$ on headers that I know are going to get screwed up...and Headers are a mod that I must do.

What to do??

Also, does anyone know how dynatech headers fit? I've managed to find some on this website for $479!

Pics would be nice if you have any!

I have SPORTLINES with JET HOT LT and ORY, my ORY is a little banged up on the driver's side, by no exhaust leaks. My DRIVESHAFT SAFETY LOOP is what scrapes more.

mid length headers are a waste of time. you would get the same or better gains from your car by simply gutting the cats.

pacesetter headers will give you no clearance problems. your issues with pacesetters will come from the drives side y pipe.

you have 3 choices

1. leave it alone
2. gut your cats
3. pacesetters and deal with the occasional y pipe scrape

ps dont buy a pacesetter y pipe, get the TSP adjustable

My car was lowered at least 2 inches when I got it, Ive had 2 other F-bodies both stock height and this one is ALOT lower, And I really wanted LT's and went ahead and got pacesetters, honestly the ground clearance isnt that worse then the factory setup, yea I scrap every now and then but nothing crazy, as long as you take speed bumps slow you will be fine... Go LT's or go home

the y pipe is what usually scrapes.as someone else has said, get you a custom y made. the pacesetters, qtp and kooks all look to me like they set up about the same height.

the only way you would be able to get clearance is if you used a non round pipe..

and as we all know the drivers side oval pipe flows substantialy less than the round passanger side *end heavy sarcasim*
